More than 200 people are involved in combat training activities, as well as about 20 weapons and military equipment.
Crews of tanks fired from guns on the move at the emerging and moving targets, as well as from the NSVT anti-aircraft machine gun "Cliff" at ground and low-flying air targets.
Tankers hit more than 50 targets using high-explosive and armor-piercing ammunition.
The servicemen also fulfilled the standards for loading ammunition, transferring the tank from the traveling position to the combat position, reconnaissance and target detection, assembling and disassembling a regular machine gun.
Combat training activities will end with tactical exercises with simultaneous execution of firing as part of a tank unit.
Comment bmpd. Thus, as can be understood, a separate tank battalion was formed in the 11th Army Corps of the Coastal Forces of the Baltic Fleet stationed in the Kaliningrad Region. Recall that after mass reductions in the Kaliningrad region during the reformation of the “New Look” in 2009-2010, only one tank battalion remained in the region as part of the 79th Guards Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (40 tanks). Accordingly, the bulk of heavy weapons, including tanks, were removed from the territory of the Kaliningrad region — for example, the number of tanks was reduced from 803 to the indicated 40 units. Now the deployment of a new separate tank battalion as part of the 11th Army Corps of the Coastal Forces of the Baltic Fleet thus signifies a relatively substantial build-up of a tank fleet in the area.
