    Thyroid hormones take part in the regulation of water-salt balance, in the formation of certain vitamins (for example, the formation of vitamin A in the liver), as well as in the performance of the function of other hormones in the body. For example, without thyroid hormones, the effect of growth hormone on the brain is impossible.

    Proved is the role of thyroid in the normal development of mammary glands in women. SHCHZH plays an important role in the functioning of the body's immune system. Her hormones stimulate the cells of the immune system, called T-cells, through which the body struggles with infection. It is assumed that the change in thyroid function plays an important role in the aging of the body.
